当局が捜査中である。

このツインビルの建設プロジェクトを請け負う建設会社「EZTEC」は、次のように述べている。

「現場では安全装置や保護装置が整っていたにもかかわらず、不運な出来事により作業員の1人が亡くなってしまいました。今回の事故は現在調査中で、当社は関係当局のすべての勧告に従うつもりです。」

建設中のツインタワーは2025年に完成予定で、倒壊した足場は2棟の屋上に設置された連結部分にあったものだった。

建設現場での事故は世界中で後を絶たないが、2021年7月にはインドで建設中のビル20階から6メートルの鉄の棒が落下し、下にいた建設作業員の頭蓋骨を貫通する事故が起きていた。
