24日に警察の拘束令状が裁判所によって棄却されたため、収監を免れたそうだ。

令状が棄却された理由は、韓国国内に定住する住居があり、家族から入院治療させるという嘆願があったことなどから女が逃亡する心配はないと判断したとのことだ。また、韓国の英字紙『Korea JoongAng Daily』では、韓国の航空会社の旅客機で非常用ドアに関する乗客の危険行為は今年に入ってから今回で3件目であることを報じている。

1件目は5月26日、済州国際空港を出発した韓国大手航空会社・アシアナ航空の旅客機が大邱国際空港に到着する直前、32歳の男が非常用ドアを無理矢理開けたため、同機はドアが開いた状態で着陸していた。2件目は翌6月、フィリピンのセブ島から仁川国際空港へ向かっている韓国格安航空会社・チェジュ航空の旅客機で、19歳の男が非常用ドアを開けようとしたという。
